Cost & Context
GameBooom's consumption mainly comes from two parts:
- Model call request volume
- Information carried in session context
You'll see CTX at the bottom of chat window, and Token statistics after each reply.
What is CTX#
CTX indicates how much context characters this session has used.
Main factors affecting it:
- Number of historical messages
- Text length of execution results
- Attachment content
- Compilation errors and script snippets
- Image or multimodal requests
When usage is too high, success rate and response speed will decrease.
What Most Easily Fills Context#
Large Code Blocks
Especially entire file scripts, multiple error logs, long JSON.
Too Many Tool Results
After continuous tool execution, results keep feeding back into conversation.
Long Sessions Without Segmentation
Continuously doing many unrelated tasks in one session makes context dirty.
How to Reduce Context Pressure#
Use Compress
Compress at bottom of chat compresses old messages, keeping only latter part of session, with system prompt indicating history compressed.
New Task, New Session
Don't force unrelated topics into same chat.
Only Attach Necessary Files
Don't throw entire script directory at once. Prioritize 1-3 most relevant files.
